General Secretary Kim Jong Un Congratulates Labour Innovators and Meritorious Persons
The respected Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, met the labour innovators and meritorious persons participating in the celebrations of the 73rd founding anniversary of the DPRK at the headquarters building of the Party Central Committee on September 8 to warmly congratulate them.
Shaking hands with each of them with pleasure, he congratulated the labour innovators and meritorious persons who are greeting the founding anniversary of the DPRK with the pride of having contributed to the prosperity and development of the state.
He said that written in the sacred history based on patriotism are the exploits of the labour innovators and meritorious persons who have worked hard at their work places and posts to increase the wealth of the country and displayed the honour of the motherland in the van of the scientific and cultural fronts, making a great contribution to opening the efflorescence of the socialist civilization.
He said the dignity and strong spirit of the DPRK are a precious crystallization of the heroic struggle of the people burning with patriotic zeal, and continued:
The indomitable struggle of the stout-hearted people who support the beloved motherland by surviving the rigorous and fierce difficulties many a time generation after generation and century after century is the national prestige and social customs peculiar to Juche Korea which cannot be found anywhere in the world.
We have a lot of patriots who think first of the state affairs before their household affairs and devote themselves, sparing no pains, to lessen the big burdens of the country. It is a great strength and encouragement for our Party and state, Kim Jong Un said and had a picture taken with the labour innovators and meritorious persons.
Then, a grand banquet was given in the garden of the headquarters building in the presence of Kim Jong Un.
Participating in the banquet were Choe Ryong Hae, Jo Yong Won, Kim Tok Hun, Pak Jong Chon and other senior officials of the Party, the government and the military, and labour innovators and meritorious persons.
A congratulatory speech was made at the banquet.
Kim Jong Un called nearby the labour innovators and meritorious persons who are silently devoting themselves to their work on the road of loyalty and patriotism, whether they are recognized or not, in different sectors of the national economy including industry, agriculture, science, education, public health, sports, and culture and arts, to learn about their health and success in their work.
He said the labour innovators and meritorious persons treasured by the Party as the cornerstone and pillar of the state should become standard-bearers and spark in making the society beautiful with the desire of their life and tireless practice and increasing the revolutionary and patriotic zeal in the whole country. He expressed the expectation that all the participants would perform more brilliant feats in accomplishing the sacred cause to further foster the strength and dignity of the DPRK and bring earlier the future of a powerful country.
Kim Jong Un invited children of the ordinary working people who set an unusual example in their study and life in the Children's Union organizations. Really praiseworthy and laudable are the Children's Union members invited to the headquarters building of the Party Central Committee together with the labour innovators and meritorious persons who did a great job for the country, he said and highly appreciated the efforts of their parents who are bringing up their children as good pillars of the country.
