APRCFSKP Congratulates and Salutes H.E. Kim Jong Un and the Korean People

ON the 80th Anniversary of the Founding of the Workers Party of Korea In preparation for the 8oth anniversary of the Founding of the Glorious Workers Party of Korea we extend our best wishes and solidarity greetings to His Excellency Kim Jong Un, Workers Party of Korea (WPK), Korean People Army (KPA), and the Korean people. In recognition of the past heroic struggles of the Korean people under the leadership of WPK we salute the Korean people and the past activities of the revolutionary leadership of the WPK in support and defence of Korea independence, sovereignty and their socialist system.

On the 10th October 80 years ago and under the leadership of President Kim IL Sung, the Korean people stood as one and rose up in support of the Founding of the Workers Party of Korea and created a new epoch in the history of the Korean Revolutionary Movement. The roots of the WPK can be traced back to the formation of Down with Imperialism Union by President Kim IL Sung 17th October 1926 Hwatian County China and which for the first time provided the Korean masses a new direction and purpose. Pockets of Korean guerilla resistance fighters had been formed and whilst they were waging a heroic armed struggle, their struggle lacked a proper direction and ideological perspective. Recognising this serious weakness, Kim IL Sung formed the “Down with Imperialism Union” (DIU) October 1926, which for the first time provided the Korean people struggle against the Japanese a fundamental anti-imperialist revolutionary outlook.

The formation of the DIU was an historic announcement heralding a new start of the Korean revolution and an epoch event provided a milestone of a radical turn in shaping the destiny of the future of Korea and its independence. Under the banner of the DIU the anti-Japanese armed ranks were organised and the arm struggle against the Japanese took a new direction in waging an anti-imperialist national independence struggle.

Following the formation of the DWIU Kim IL Sung was instrumental in forming the Anti–Japanese Guerilla Army and at the formation ceremony on 25th April 1932, Kim IL Sung made a speech and the following words are extracts from that speech; “Comrades, Our people have now risen with determination and are fighting everywhere in the teeth of the Japanese imperialist’s barbarities. The workers and peasants are replying with violence to counter fascist repression by Japanese imperialism, and groups of active patriotic are seeking a new way of struggle.”

With the formation of the KPRA (Korean People’s Revolutionary Army) and with support from the Chinese, the struggle of the Korean people against the barbaric Japanese Militarists Fascists took a new direction with a proper ideological perspective, it became a struggle for national independence A strong unity of the army and the people was developed and consolidated; the birth of Songun politics had arrived. The Korean people went over to the offensive and the KPRA scored a huge military victory against far superior Japanese forces at the battle of Pochonbo on June 4th 1937.

Following liberation Day on the 15th August 1945 and as a consequence of the Japanese Militarist strategy of a burnt earth policy, the Korean economy was shattered and had to be rebuilt from the bottom up. President Kim IL Sung realized that if Korea was to transform from a backward semi feudal nation to the modern era, a new political, ideological, economic and social system was required to implement the necessary changes required for a modern and technical advance Korea. Under the leadership of the President Kim IL Sung and the WPK the political economic landscape was reshaped with the nationalization of major industries, mines ,banks land was redistributed to the peasants and different forms of democratic lifestyles introduced.

However within 2 years of the Founding of the Workers Party of Korea peace on the Korean peninsula was once again shattered by the military might of US Imperialism and its South Korea collaborators. Despite confronting the largest and powerful military machine in the world the Korean people with the Korean People Army rose up as one and the People/Army Unity that was forged during the war of Independence against the Japanese Militarist scored a huge victory against the military might of US Imperialism which was forced to sign an Armistice Agreement on the 27th July 1953 which was a great victory in the Fatherland Liberation War. 

With peace once again restored on the Korean peninsula the Korean people once again devoted all of their energy to restoring their economy while at the same time fiercely defending their Independence and social system under the leadership of the WPK. 

For a period of time and with the guns silent the Korean people, under the leadership of President Kim IL Sung and the WPK, rebuilt their shattered land and created economic and social miracles. Although the guns may have fallen silent the aggressive plans and strategy of Imperialism to capture all of Korea had not been abandoned. In early 90s the Korean people entered what they call the Arduous March and suffered a huge loss with the demise of President Kim IL Sung on the 8th July 1994. 

At the time when the hostile sanctions of US Imperialism along with the collapse of the Soviet Union and the other socialist countries who were the DPRK main trading partners. where having a huge impact on the economic and political development of Korea the mantle of leadership was passed to General Kim Jong IL. At the time of President Kim IL Sung’s demise, General Kim Jong IL had already assumed the role of leadership of the KPA and, to meet the new and aggressive challenges of US Imperialism, elevated Songun Politics to a higher level with the KPA becoming the leading force in defending and developing their economic and social system.

Despite the difficulties and hardships the Korean people endured against the military and economic might of US Imperialism they, under the leadership of General Kim Jong IL and the WPK emerged from the Arduous March ideological and politically stronger than they were before. It was a great victory that imperialism could not accept the DPRK refused to collapse and once again US Imperialism was forced to retreat. With the sudden and untimely death of General Kim Jong IL 17th December 2011 the WPK and the Korean people faced the burden of finding a new leader and after a period of discussions and meetings Kim Jong Un was elevated to the position of Chairman of the WPK and to the position of General Secretary of the WPK 2012 with President Kim IL Sung being enshrined as eternal President.

Since his elevation as the leader of the WPK and the DPRK and under the leadership of the WPK the Korean economy and its defense has simultaneously been strengthened, particularly in reference to a nuclear deterrent. Over the last few years the speed in which they have been able to master the scientific and technological achievements both from an economic and defense perspective has astonished the world; so much that US Imperialism on a number of occasions have been forced to change their tactics and strategy in trying to destroy the DPRK.

In addition to the hostile and illegal UN/US sanctions that the Korean people are confronted with, they also over recent years been dealt heavy blows to their economy and infrastructure as a result of natural disasters. Despite these setbacks the Korean people under the leadership of Marshall Kim Jong Un and led by the WPK have never deviated from their international duty of advocating for peace and providing practical and moral support to the people of the world who are still struggling for their Independence.

To-day under the leadership of Marshall Kim Jong Un and the WPK the DPRK is now recognized as a nuclear state the leading role of the KPA which is the army of the WPK, the State and the Korean people is the defender of the Fatherland against all and any intruder it is also the defender of peace of the Korean peninsula. For 80 years the WPK has led and defended the Korean people of the DPRK against all forms of intimidation, attacks, economic, political and social interference. To the people of Korea we stand and salute you as we join with you to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Founding of your party the WPK and march with you under the flag of Juche and the banner of Songun to everlasting peace and socialism.
