Appeal to the World's Peace-loving People

The Asia Pacific Regional Committee for Peaceful Reunification of Korea (APRCPRK) has issued the Appeal to the World's Peace-loving People in an Enlarged Meeting in April 25, 2023, from Jakarta.

Progressive peoples of the world who love justice and peace!

We, delegates of the friendship and solidarity organizations with the Korean people and peace-loving organizations in the Asia-Pacific region, have held an enlarged meeting of the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea with a view to step up the preparations in real earnest on the regional scale to meaningfully celebrate this year that marks the 70th anniversary of the Korean people's Victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War and the 75th founding anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

In the meeting, after paying our highest tribute to the great leaders of the Korean people who accomplished great feats in giving a birth to the new history of the contemporary Korea by exalting it to the socialist state, that stands high in the spotlight of the world with the unfurled banner of independence, self-reliance and self-defense, we officially declared formation of the Regional Preparatory Committee to celebrate jointly the auspicious holidays of the Korean people, and appeal to the world's peace-loving peoples as follows:

Let us step up the activities in a brisk manner to praise the achievements of the peerlessly great leaders who set a great example for building a truly independent power and a righteous state and safeguarded the peace and security on the Korean peninsula and those of north-east Asia and the world by dint of mighty self-defense capabilities.

The history of the 75-year-long arduous and protracted struggle that the DPRK pursued to defend the national sovereignty and rights to existence and development bear out the truth of history that can only people led by the great leaders pride themselves on being the independent and dignified people in the present days rampant with high-handedness, arbitrariness and double standards enforced by the imperialists.

The outstanding stratagem and ever-victorious leadership of His Excellency Kim Il Sung, who defeated the imperialist allied forces by leading a young fledged state and army, that were no more than 2 years old, and built a prosperous socialist state on the debris of war, thus making Korea demonstrate its grandeur as a heroic and miraculous country that gave a stop to a potential outbreak of another round of the World War, were creditably inherited by the great Songun politics of His Excellency Kim Jong Il. Today their achievements are uninterruptedly carried forward by His Excellency Kim Jong Un possessed of the iron-willed mettle and conviction.

In recent years, under the wise and seasoned leadership of His Excellency Kim Jong Un, the Korean people are making world-startling successes of miracle day after day in their efforts to safeguard the peace and security of the region and the world, to achieve the independent reunification of the country and to carry out a grand program for the comprehensive development of socialism, an ideal of humankind, despite all kinds of challenges and ordeals.

Let the world's progressive peoples including the friendship and solidarity organizations with the Korean people in different countries organize the national and regional preparatory committees to celebrate this meaningful year and launch various activities far and wide all over the world in praise of the peerlessly great leaders of Korea for their undying achievements.

Let us extend absolute support and solidarity with the Korean people in their just cause to prevent the danger of war on the Korean peninsula and safeguard the peace and security of northeast Asia and those of the world!

The unstable environment of super-tension is constantly doomed over the Korean peninsula due to the provocative and aggressive war exercises being staged on a large scale and yet in a frantic manner by the US and its vassal forces against the DPRK.

Let us extend positive support to and solidarity with the Korean people in their just and resilient struggle to defend the sovereignty and dignity of the country and safeguard peace and security on the Korean peninsula, especially the practical measures to build up the self-defense capabilities.

The Korean people and the Korean People's Army of today are no longer the people and army of the young fledged state in the 50's of the last century, that had to fight with rifles against the armed invasion of the domineering imperialist allied forces swaying the A-bomb, and it turns out that the peace and stability of the Korean peninsula and the northeast Asia are staunchly safeguarded by the DPRK possessed of the strong self-defense capabilities acknowledged by the world.

Let the friendship and solidarity organizations with the Korean people in different countries and other progressives, especially the peace-loving organizations and peoples of the countries that dispatched their troops to the last Korean war, join, with due interest, in urging to dissolve the unlawful and delusive "UN Command", the US-patronized instrument that escalates the situation on the Korean peninsula to the highest tension and put a complete stop to all kinds of the aggressive joint military drills that would ignite a train of war once again on the Korean peninsula.

We, fully committed to our responsibilities and mission, express our firm confidence that the world's progressive peoples will extend the full support to and solidarity with the Korean people in their just cause to step up with building an ideal society of humankind while frustrating the US strategy of hegemony and provocations of a new war with the might of single-minded unity and tremendous national power.
