Protest Against United States Sanctions held in Sydney, Australia.
Protestors gathered outside Sydney Town Hall.

The Following is a Declaration from the Sydney Branch relating to the Protest :

On the 17th of June, the Sydney Branch of the Australia-D.P.R.K. Friendship and Cultural Society joined a protest, with supporters of Cuba, against the United States Cuba blockade and the U.S. and Australian regimes instigated sanctions against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, outside of Sydney Town Hall. The protest aimed at calling for an immediate stop to the sanctions and also called for Australia to lift its sanctions that have been placed on the Korean nation.
It was a high exposure location with many people passing by or participating in other rallies. We handed out our society leaflet that explain what we support, with contact details and an invitation to join and support peace on the Korean Peninsula.

We believe our strategy to work with like-minded progressive groups will not only increase support for the DPRK within those groups but also to widen our exposure.
